It's the simple things in life that mean the most..
Growing up I was always told to enjoy the little things. It may be the small gestures, a stranger or friend may make such as a high five when you do something neat. Or maybe it's just saying "good morning" to someone in the elevator, or simply giving a homeless man your spare change or food, or telling someone you love them just because, or offering your seat to a pregnant or elderly person, or even just smiling at a stranger. These small little gestures are just small ways us humans can have daily little acts of kindness, that may or may not make some ones day better. Us humans tend to worry too much on the materialistic things in life and less about the experiences and friendships we have. Everybody has their ups and their downs, but with a small gesture you could potentially turn that frown upside down. Being a student at the worlds #1 public university, has given me a new experience and perspective on life. Seeing all of my friends stress over materialistic things such as boys, midterms, or how unhappy they are in their own skin, has made me want to help others see the world in a more positive light. Even though I stress over midterms, boys, and my appearance I am going to start stop worrying about the little things and just enjoy the moment I'm in. One wise man once told me, "Don't sweat the small stuff, and believe me it is all small." This blog is meant to show people my experiences at UC Berkeley and how beautiful this city can be in. I will occasionally talk about my home town, and issues I care strong about, but for the most part this blog is going to be me expressing my lighthearted feelings on this city.
